Christ University Entrance Test (CUET) — Detailed Structure

The Christ University Entrance Test (CUET) is the university's own online entrance examination conducted for admission to most undergraduate programmes (such as BBA, BCom, BA, BCA, BSc, and integrated law courses like BA LLB/BBA LLB) and several postgraduate programmes (including MA, MSc, MCom, MCA, and MSW).

The test consists of 120 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 90 minutes, with a marking scheme of +1 for each correct answer-0.25 for incorrect answers, and 0 for unattempted questions. The test evaluates candidates on core areas including English Language, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude/Mathematics, Data Analysis & Interpretation, and programme-specific sections.

The selection process at Christ University considers CUET performance, followed by Skill Assessment (SA), Micro Presentation (MP), and Personal Interview (PI). Academic records (Class 10/12 or undergraduate marks) are also considered in the final merit.

Christ University Admission Process Explained

Admission process.png

Admission into UG, PG, PhD and other courses at Christ University is a multi-stage process. These include the written test, skill assessment, micro presentation and personal interview rounds. A candidate must clear all the rounds to successfully get admission into Christ University. Take a detailed look at these stages below:

Stage 1 - CUET (Only for entrance based courses): An online, 90 minutes test with a total of 120 questions. The exam tests English, GK, domain knowledge, reasoning, and data interpretation. The safe score for top programs like BBA Finance is 90+/120. Shortlisted candidates are called for Stage 2. (The next stages apply for all courses)

Stage 2 — Skill Assessment (SA): Evaluates subject-specific knowledge and analytical ability beyond what the MCQ test measures. May include short written tasks or subject-based questions. Conducted at the campus after the written test.

Stage 3 — Micro Presentation (MP): A 2–3 minute presentation on a topic given at the time. The panel assesses communication skills, confidence, clarity of thought, and ability to structure an argument under pressure. This is taken very seriously - poor presentation directly affects selection chances regardless of written test score.

Stage 4 — Personal Interview (PI): Individual interview with a faculty panel (typically 2–3 members). This stage checks current affairs, subject knowledge, career goals, general awareness and the applicant’s overall personality. The interview lasts for 10–15 minutes. Final selection is holistic with the panel weighing all 4 stages.

Further, candidates must note that besides these stages, an applicant’s 12th grade performance is also taken into consideration while finalising their candidature.

Further, the university has also added a new counselling in Kolkata for MBA 2026 admissions.

4. Personal Interview: An expert panel conducts a one-on-one interview to assess personality, career goals, subject knowledge, motivation, and overall fit for the MBA programme. Candidates must present original marks cards and valid national exam scorecards for verification.

5. Academic Performance: The university assesses past academic records from Class 10, Class 12, and undergraduate degree based on uploaded marks cards (or latest semester if results awaited). This is considered alongside GD, MP, WA, and PI in the final selection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I get the Christ University application form?

Christ University application form can be directly accessed from  https://espro.christuniversity.in/Application. Alternatively, users can also visit the official website and navigate to the Admissions page from the main menu.

What is the Christ University application fee? Is it refundable?

Christ University application fee varies based on courses and goes up to Rs. 1,800. No refund is given if a candidate decides to withdraw or cancel their application.

How many rounds of CUET does Christ University conduct each year?

Christ conducts multiple rounds of CUET through December, January, February, April and May for UG programs. Each round has the same test format (90 min, 120 questions). You can appear in multiple rounds, though your highest-scoring round is typically considered. Earlier rounds (Round 1 and 2) are more competitive but have more seats available for high-demand programs.

Can I apply to multiple campuses and programs with one application?

You fill one application but indicate your campus and program preference. The final allotment will be decided on the basis of your entrance score (for entrance based courses), interview round and other factors.

Is there a waiting list for Christ University admissions?

Yes. For high-demand programs like BBA Finance & Accountancy, BCom International Finance, and BA LLB, Christ maintains waiting lists after the primary merit list is released. If a selected candidate does not pay the seat confirmation fee in time, the next candidate on the waiting list is offered the seat. Subsequent CUET rounds also function effectively as a rolling waitlist system.

Do I need to appear for Christ's CUET if I have a good NTA CUET score?

Christ University does not accept NTA CUET (Common University Entrance Test) scores as an alternative for select programs. Admissions into Christ University are instead offered through Christ University Entrance Test (CUET) for UG and PG courses.

What happens if I miss the seat confirmation deadline after being selected?

If you do not pay the seat confirmation fee within the stipulated time (usually 3–5 days after result declaration), your seat is automatically forfeited and given to the next candidate on the waiting list.

Can final year UG students apply for Christ MBA?

Yes. Final year UG students (appearing in their final exams) can apply for MBA provisionally. The GD and PI can be attended before results. Final admission is confirmed subject to passing the UG degree with minimum 50% aggregate.
