The College of Fisheries, Rangeilunda, under the Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT), Bhubaneswar was established in the year 1981. It is the 5th Fisheries College of India and first one in Eastern India. The College is situated at Rangeilunda adjacent to the Regional Institute for Training on Extension and is in the vicinity of Berhampur University, Bhanja Bihar. The campus is 6 km away from Gopalpur-on-sea, spreading over an area of 12 acres, the campus is calm and peaceful. It is well connected to the nearest town Berhampur by road thorough National and State Highways in addition to rail linking northern and southern Indian. The mandate of the College is to generate technical manpower and improved technologies in fisheries sector. Dissemination of technology is another important responsibility of the College. It is achieved thorough skill-oriented training programmes, demonstrations, farmers’ fairs and other mass   communication programmes. Nice atmosphere and efficient faculties are available for teaching. So many students placed abroad after completing education from here. NRI students reading here. Very nice study environment for students. Hostel for boys and girls available. Lots of parking space available here. It was established in the year 1981. It is one of the leading college in Agriculture Science and Technology. COLLEGE OF FISHERIES, RANGEILUNDA, BEHRAMPUR-7 is situated in Ganjam, Odisha. 3 courses in various specialities are taught in this institution. Here different kinds of research and development are going on for the betterment of fish farmers. It not only research but, it also provides education to different sectors farmers how they can use the technology and earn more profit. It comes under the state government but gets projects mostly from Central government.
