Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University, known as DSNLU or NLU Visakhapatnam, stands as a reputable state-level institution for legal studies in India. Established in 2008 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the university is recognized by the University Grants Commission and approved by the Bar Council of India, marking its adherence to national standards. Located in Visakhapatnam, the university campus spans 45.5 acres. DSNLU offers a range of programs at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, including the flagship five-year integrated BA LLB (Hons), the one-year LLM with various specializations, and PhD and LLD degrees. A three-year LLB program has also been introduced from the 2024-25 academic year. Admission to the BA LLB (Hons) and LLM programs is primarily through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), while PhD admissions involve a university entrance exam or national level tests.
