Student Reviews & Testimonials
An active campus (both academically and politically), rather small in area but gives quite an exposure if you want to pursue a career in law.
Government Law College, Ernakulam, is a prestigious institution known for admitting the best and brightest students. With a rich heritage, it has a reputation for producing accomplished alumni who have excelled in various legal fields. This college is a symbol of excellence in legal education, fostering future legal luminaries.
This is one of the oldest law colleges in India, offering a unique blend of freedom and lasting friendships during your time here. The campus is beautiful, nestled in the heart of a bustling city. However, frequent political activities can sometimes detract from the overall experience. It’s disheartening to see some students not appreciating the significance of the campus, which is actually a heritage site. I only wish more would take pride in keeping it clean and free from scribbles, preserving its historic charm.
A place where people drink in anarchy and toddy. Don't go to study. There is no better place to visit. Murali Tummarukudi's Kerala Sahitya Akademi award-winning book, Chila Natukaryaman, has described Ernakulam Law College as the most prosperous college in Kerala. A student does not come here and get guidance in the areas that a professional school should prepare its students for. There is a situation where students who get KLEE rank, take admission and go out with fun, are stopped by the police without knowing it. It might be enough for elite kids who have a fem setup at home. Many private law colleges in Kerala provide relatively good coaching in minimum subjects. It is my humble opinion that it is better to study in a local college and concentrate on your studies than to come from another country and spend your years in a hostel.
