The Government Post Graduate College, Jhalawar (Rajasthan), was established in 1958 and got recognition from the UGC under 2(f) and 12(B) since beginning. Affiliated to Kota. University, Kota. It is co-education institution with a sprawling Campus covering 7.62 acres. The College has 17 departments covering the faculty of Arts, Science and Commerce. Faculty of Arts comprises Nine departments. Faculty of Science has five and Faculty of Commerce has Three departments. The College offers eleven programmes at postgraduate level. College is empowering about 4350 students, mostly from rural areas, each year by imparting value based quality education to them. For the overall development of personality, the college offers opportunities for a healthy exposure to a variety of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. To encourage the students in their academic, cultural and extra-curricular pursuits a number of scholarships, trophies prizes and certificates are given to meritorious students every year.
