Established as a college of education to impart training for in-service as well as aspiring teachers of secondary schools in the year 1996, the college has been, at present, successfully imparting education in two courses - (a) two year B Ed and (b) two year D el Ed under the Gauhati University and SCERT, Assam. The college is duly recognised by the NCTE and affiliated to the Gauhati University. The results of final exams have been extraordinarily brilliant over the years. The college, which has completed 25th year of its existence with extraordinary developments in all aspects, has started three year BA Course from the current academic session under the Gauhati University.
