Superb place to study agriculture. This is an affiliated college that comes under Tamilnadu Agricultural University. It is one of the famous college at Erode area, where most students wish to study agriculture.
A good agricultural College. All facilities are there. Quality education and practical experience. About: Kumaraguru Institute of Agriculture, the cherished dream of Arutchelvar Padmabhushan Dr. N. Mahalingam was started in September 2014 with the main aim of imparting agricultural education to rural youth. The primary objective of this institution is to tinge agriculture with technology to improve food production, to introduce novel and innovative methods in agriculture, to make agriculture viable and self supportive. The institute carries with it the long standing tradition of Sakthi group of companies and the able backup from the experience gained by Sakthi group organizations. The institution has been sponsored by Sakthi Foundation, the charitable trust promoted by Sakthi Sugars Limited to carry out rural developmental programmes. The back bone of Indian economy is Agriculture. Agriculture which is essential for the survival of mankind is centred in our villages. The Father of the Nation was precisely right when he said that “India lives in its villages”. Our beloved Chairman Arutchelvar Padmabhushan Dr. N. Mahalingam, a true Gandhian in letter and spirit had a long cherished dream to start an Agricultural Institute in this predominantly agricultural area for the benefit of the local people. This resulted in the genesis of “KUMARAGURU INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURE” in September 2014. The main aim starting this Institution was to impart agricultural education to rural youth. Agriculture today is facing a lot of challenges not only in our country but in almost all the growing nations. There is an urgent need to provide the farming community with the necessary steps to tackle the challenges and obstacles that they encounter because of the changing global scenario. The Institution is located in an extensive area of about 115 acres of farm land on Bhavani-Athani-Sathy state highway, at Nachimuthupuram in Sakthi nagar.
