I was went there for my ssc examination. Of course like most said, the place is kind of remote area and you need to walk around 1.5 kms from bus stop to the entrance of this college. For outsiders, when you reach mattuthavani bus stand or also called as M.G.R bus stand is the main bus stand of madurai city. The college located in the place near austinpatti. From mattuthavani bus stand you have to take 48Y bus which is red in color. It is a thirumangalam route bus. But the problem is, it is not available so frequent. Fortunately I get the bus after waiting for almost 20 mins. My suggestion for those new persons who come to madurai without known that much local, You can wait in mattuthavani bus stop for thirumangalam route bus number which i mentioned above up to 30 mins if u not in hurry. Even after 30mins you didn't get the bus then take bus for periyar bus stop where all the town bus there. The frequency of the bus also very high in mattuthavani bus stop to periyar bus stop. So u can get that, go to periyar bus stop then you get bus to austinpatti. The real name of the bus stop which is near the college names "KOODHIYAR KUNDU". if u uncomfortable to say this like me then ask for austinpatti or ptr college bus stop. In return also if u didn't get bus directly from college to mattuthavani bus stop then you have to go to periyar bus stop first then mattuthavani bus stop. Auto taxi service is also there. Ideal charge in auto to travel between koodhiyar kundu bus stop to college is 20 rupees. if auto wala ask u more u better reach there by walk. most of my friends said there is a bus for each 3 mins from periyar bus stop to mattuthavani bus stop but reality is we have to wait more than 30 mins for that and before take bus from periyar to mattuthavani bus ask conductor about the route of the bus. because if the bus go via puthoor, then the distance becomes quiet more and consume more time to reach mattuthavani bus stop.
