PIMT Fatehgarh Sahib Student Reviews & Testimonials

My experience at Punjab Institute of Management and Technology was a colossal disappointment. The college's infrastructure is deplorable, and the faculty, particularly within the agriculture department, demonstrates a distressing lack of knowledge and practical competence. The glaring absence of fundamental resources such as laboratories and essential agricultural equipments profoundly sabotages any possibility of substantial learning in the realm of agriculture. To put it bluntly, this college unquestionably ranks as oneof the Punjab's most dismal institutions when it comes to agricultural education.Their approach seems to involve deceiving students into enrolling in their college, coercing them to surrender their original documents upon admission, and subsequently failing to return vital academic records, particularly those from the 10th and 12th standard, which could be essential for other endeavors.Furthermore, it's not accredited by ICAR, which could jeopardize our academic prospects when applying for master's program in other Indian or international universities. The college's infrastructure is in a dire state, and its proximity to iron and steel factories leads to significant noise and air pollution, adversely impacting our health. The release of toxic gases from these factories poses a significant threat to our well-being.The faculty members in agriculture lack proper training and qualifications, as none of them had passed the necessary exams such as NET or had completed their Phd. Their deficiency in experience and practical knowledge is evident. During my time, there were only five teachers for over 70 agricultural students. The college's management is extremely flawed, as it concentrates all authority in the hands of a single Director, who has control over all the faculty deans. Ideally, there should be deans for each faculty to distribute responsibilities, but in this case, the director exercises excessive control over every aspect, which is undesirable.Additionally, most of the positive reviews you'll find are likely written by the college's staff, with only a handful from actual students. so it's crucial to be cautious and not be misled by these biased reviews.

My time at PIMT college has been disheartening, marked by inadequate academic standards and subpar hostel conditions. The instructional methods lack contemporary relevance, impeding comprehensive learning. The hostel facilities are disappointing, with substandard living conditions. Communication with faculty and administration proves ineffective, reflecting a concerning indifference to student concerns. The institution's ethos lacks community and intellectual growth, evident in the absence of extracurricular activities. This falls short of expected standards, necessitating immediate attention to elevate the overall academic experience for students at PIMT.
