Government run autonomous super speciality institute.Started in 1984.This a 200 beded hospital exclusively for orthopedics and allied specialties.This provides services such as 24 x 7 for trauma care, sports injury management,hand surgery ,spine surgery,facio maxillary surgery,neuro surgery,plastic surgery,replacement surgery and arthroscopic surgeery.This houses OPD, ICU care,casualty services,lab facilities,x ray,ultrasound imaging and ct imaging,orthotic and physiotherapic centre.An allied nursing and physiotheraphy college is also present.This is the highest referral centre for trauma in the state.Only the 2nd government hospital in the whole country to have a sports injury department.
