The SNM Training College is a very renowned institution where many of the expert High School Teachers have been imparted training.During my school days in St Sebastian's High School Gothuruth the teachers from this Training College used to come to our School for teaching practice and their classes were very inspiring.Later during my studies in SNM Junior College which had first started at Moothakunnam our Chemistry Lab had functioned here and we were feeling very dignified in entering the premises of this College.Another important thing I remember is the fact that late Shri Sukumar Azhikode, the famous writer and orator had occupied the chair of the Principal of the College for a considerable long period. This is an excellent institution.

Famous Teacher training college in Kerala. It is an old institution which have great teachers like Dr. Sukumar Azhikode. During the academic year 1995-1996 SNM training college hosted the State training college festival- 'Rangolsavam'.

S.N.M Institute of Teachers Education  is a  venerable educational initative of the  H M D P Sabha  Which is a  Century   Old   trust  conceived in dedicated social services . The I.T.E is situated  in the village of Moothakunnam in North parur Taluk.It is an aided institute stands on the bank of periyar illuminated by its aristocratic elegance and the natural beauty. Started way back in 1953, it was named initially as S.N.M Basic Training School Lates it was known as S.N.M T.T.I Now the course is revised and renamed as D.Ed which is approved all other states in India.

I done my B Ed course from there in the year 2017-19. It's a very famous Teacher Training Institute Under M G University.
