War against COVID could not be easy without these efficient and supportive people here. Right from top management to the nurses everything was extremely excellent. Entire team of doctors and very supportive nurses and helpers left no stone unturned in making our lives easier in battling the infection. The college has all required facilities with competent doctors. This is real boon to Uttara Kannada people. From now on we Uttara Kannada district people also have a reliable medical facility in our own district without having a need to go far away. I came to hospital with my father who is 65 years old having high temperature and oxygen saturation dipping. Immediate Rt-Pcr tests were done to all of us and a CT scan of chest was done for my father. Within few minutes all the treatment had started. Next day we got to know my father , my mother and myself ,all 3 of us tested COVID positive and we also started developing fever. All timely treatment were given. And now within 4 days of our hospitalisation we are fit for discharge coming out brave fighting against the COVID.

One of the medical college in karwar which is situated near the civil hospital. The college building is very big and wide can been seen from the highway and it looks very beautiful from the highway. Many students from other places come here to study.

Being a passout (2018 batch)of this college, I feel I could leave a review for students opting this college. Coming to academics, there are good professors in all departments just that you have to have interest. Good support is provided for research related matter. Ofcourse few department lack staff. The college has well maintained Lecture halls with AC( mostly not used), an indoor auditorium, a well maintained library ( bad timings*), preclinical and paraclinical departments with labs, pretty good canteen. There is an exam hall which would be converted to badminton court during sports occasion. An ATM inside the college, works most days. The hospital (old) is not in a good state especially during rainy season. There is good amount of cases. Since there is PG course in the institute in most department, so now the cases are increasing actually. It basically depends how you utilise the available facilities. The new hospital is almost fully constructed yet to be inaugurated. Doctors are good in most departments. There are few toxic traits in every department as elsewhere. Hostel is not at all well maintained and poor infrastructure. Especially during rainy season, there is countable number of rooms without leakage. Mess food was manageable as when we studied. There are good number of festival celebrated and programmes conducted. There is good chance for entertainment too. Beach is just at walkable distance away. Surrounding is fully green and fresh. Goa border is just 10kms. So overall would definitely recommend. This college would definitely grow in upcoming year.
