I visited the National Heart Institute (NHI) in GK-1 for a regular follow-up, as I have been under the treatment of Dr. Arora, a cardiologist, since 2021. Following his advice, I underwent several biochemical tests, along with an abdominal ultrasound and a thyroid ultrasound that had been recommended by an endocrinologist at Max Hospital. Previously, my thyroid ultrasound was conducted at Max Hospital in Saket. Since NHI also offers thyroid ultrasound services, I decided to have it done there to save time, and the same was done on 3rd March 2025. Unfortunately, this decision proved to be a mistake due to the unacceptable behavior of the radiologist Dr. Ayan Saha. Here are the details of the experience: 1. The radiologist requested an old ultrasound report for comparison with the current one, which was done on August 28, 2024, at Max Hospital. 2. I informed the radiologist that I currently did not have the old report but could provide it later that is by tomorrow & he agreed in principle. 3. I submitted the old report to the staff member on March 4. She assured me that it had been forwarded to the radiologist. 4. On March 5, I called the Assistant (staff member) of the radiologist to check on the status of my report. She connected me with the radiologist, whose response was very unprofessional. He stated, “Your report shows no changes” without even reviewing my old report. When I pointed out that I had been told I could provide my old report for comparison, he replied, “If you show your old report to me after five days, how can I do this job?" Moreover, he has already been done on the same day without waiting for my report. His tone was crude and unacceptable for a reputable institution in Delhi. Overall, the radiologist's response was disappointing and did not reflect the standards I expected.
