What is MHT CET?

MHT CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, for admission to undergraduate programs in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech), Technology, Pharmacy (B.Pharm), and Agriculture in over 400 colleges in Maharashtra, including top institutes like COEP Pune, VJTI Mumbai, and ICT Mumbai.

It is the primary exam for Maharashtra domicile candidates, with 85% seats reserved under state quota and 15% under All India Quota (via JEE Main). In 2026, around 4-5 lakh candidates appeared, with results used for centralized admission process (CAP).

MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2026

  • Nationality: Indian nationals; Maharashtra domicile preferred for state quota

  • For B.E./B.Tech (PCM):

  • Passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English

  • Minimum 45% aggregate in PCM (40% for Reserved categories from Maharashtra)

  • Appearing students eligible

  • For B.Pharm (PCB):

  • Passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, and English

  • Minimum 45% aggregate in PCB/PCM (40% for Reserved categories)

  • Age Limit: Minimum 17 years

  • Attempts: No limit

  • Reservation: Maharashtra state quotas: 13% SC, 7% ST, 19% OBC, 10% EWS, 5% PwD

How to Download MHT CET 2026 Admit Card

  1. Visit cetcell.mahacet.org
  2. Click on “MHT CET 2026 Admit Card Download” (PCM/PCB)
  3. Enter Application ID, Date of Birth & Security Pin
  4. Verify details and download the hall ticket
  5. Print 2 colour copies on A4 sheet

Admit card released on April 3 (PCB) & April 9 (PCM). Carry with a valid photo ID (Aadhaar/PAN/Passport) & passport-size photo.
