Assam NEET Counselling 2025 Choice Filling and Locking
Choice filling is a crucial step that determines seat allotment. Login to DME Assam portal using registered credentials. View the complete list of available colleges based on your category and eligibility. Select preferred colleges and courses in priority order with most preferred option first.
Candidates can add both MBBS and BDS options if eligible for both courses. Use drag-and-drop or up/down arrows to rearrange choices. Review the final preference list carefully before submission. Lock choices before the deadline to confirm preferences.
If choices are not locked manually, the system auto-locks at the deadline. Once locked, choices cannot be modified. Fill maximum choices to increase allotment probability. Study previous year cutoff trends before finalizing preferences. Consider factors like college infrastructure, hospital facilities, and location while making choices.
Assam NEET Counselling 2025 Seat Allotment
Seat allotment is done by DME Assam based on candidate's NEET rank, filled preferences, category, and seat availability. The allotment algorithm processes choices sequentially and assigns the highest priority choice where seat is available for the candidate's category.
After seat allotment result is declared, candidates must download allotment letter from the portal. Report to allotted college within specified dates with all original documents. Pay security deposit of Rs 25,000 and admission fee at the college.
Failure to report on time results in automatic seat cancellation. The security deposit is forfeited for non-reporting candidates. Vacated seats are added to the pool for subsequent rounds. Candidates who wish to upgrade can select "float" option while retaining current seat. Selecting "freeze" option confirms admission and exits from further rounds.
