Bihar NEET Counselling 2025 is conducted by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) for admission to MBBS, BDS, and BVSc courses in government and private colleges across the state. The BCECEB has released the revised schedule for Round 1 counselling on its official website bceceboard.bihar.gov.in.
The counselling process was initially paused due to a health department order regarding fee structure in private medical colleges. Fresh registration has commenced as per the revised schedule. Candidates who registered earlier must complete fresh choice filling as previous choices have been declared null and void.
The BCECEB released the revised schedule for Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2025 after resolving the fee structure issue for private medical colleges. Candidates must complete all counselling activities within the specified timeline.

The Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2025 is conducted online through the BCECEB portal. Candidates must follow the step-by-step process to secure admission in medical and dental colleges.

The cutoff for Bihar medical colleges varies by category and institution. For government MBBS colleges in 2025, the expected cutoff for General category is 618-630 marks with AIR around 10,000-15,000. For BC category, the expected marks are 590-615 with rank 20,000-35,000. SC candidates typically need 500-515 marks. Private medical colleges have lower cutoffs ranging from 350-520 marks depending on the quota and category.
Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2025 consists of four rounds. These are Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round. Each round has its own schedule for registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and document verification. Candidates who do not secure seats in earlier rounds can participate in subsequent rounds.
Non-domicile candidates cannot apply for 85% state quota seats in government medical colleges of Bihar. However, they can apply for management quota and NRI quota seats in private medical colleges. Private colleges in Bihar offer seats to all India candidates through centralized counselling based on NEET scores.
The annual fee for MBBS in Bihar government medical colleges ranges from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1,00,000. This includes tuition fee, development fee, and other charges. The fee is significantly lower compared to private colleges. Hostel and mess charges are additional. Some colleges also provide fee concessions for reserved category candidates.
Yes, candidates must be at least 17 years old as on December 31, 2025, to participate in Bihar NEET Counselling 2025. There is no upper age limit for appearing in NEET and subsequently for state counselling. The minimum age requirement is mandatory as per NMC guidelines for admission to MBBS and BDS courses.
If a candidate fails to report for document verification within the specified dates, their seat allotment will be automatically cancelled. The seat will be transferred to the vacant seat pool for subsequent rounds. Candidates must strictly adhere to the counselling schedule to avoid losing their allotted seats. No extension is provided for document verification.
Candidates can participate in subsequent rounds if they are not satisfied with their allotted seat. In Round 2 and Mop-up rounds, fresh choice filling is allowed where candidates can modify their preferences. However, if a candidate accepts a seat and takes admission, they can still participate in upgradation during later rounds by paying the required fee.
The last date for Round 1 registration was August 18, 2025. For Round 2, candidates could register from September 15-18, 2025. The Round 3 (Mop-up) registration was held from October 25-27, 2025. Candidates must complete registration within the specified dates as late applications are not accepted by BCECEB.
