I am from DU SOL and attended a few classes there a few months ago. There is a canteen, and the college is surrounded by green trees, including some old 'False Ashoka' trees, which make the place look nice. The nearest metro station is Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus, and it's about a 1.1 km walk from the station to the college. I also really liked the wall art there. It's a Warli painting, a type of tribal art from Maharashtra, and I think this kind of art should be on every college and street wall to show how rich India is in art and culture.

Overall: When I took admission to Ram Lal Anand College, it was my last choice. I chose it only because it is part of the South Campus of Delhi University. However, after getting admitted, I found it better than its neighboring South Campus colleges. The societies are also quite good and definitely help one improve their other skills. RLA NCC has produced many officers for the armed forces. Fresher’s events, fests, farewells, and the annual prize distribution are organized every year. Placement: Placement opportunities are available in RLA. There is a CCPC that brings internships and placement opportunities into the college. Many students benefit from it. However, placements are not good in every course. Students of B.Com, BMS, and Statistics get good placements, but in our department, most of the students opt for higher studies and competitive exams. Infrastructure: There is a lush green front lawn. There are sufficient classrooms for students, and our college never needed to shift classes online due to the conduct of SOL examinations. There is a large library with books related to our courses, competitive exams, magazines, newspapers, etc. There are three computer labs in the Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science departments. Most classrooms are equipped with projectors. There is a community radio called ‘Tarang,’ which is one of its kind in the whole of Delhi University (according to me), and it offers a great experience for BJMC students to work there and learn. There is also a geology museum and a research lab in the Microbiology department. Furthermore, there is an amphitheater, an auditorium, and a seminar room with good seating capacity. A girls’ common room is located opposite the staff room. The sports ground of Ram Lal Anand College is newly constructed, and cricket, football, volleyball, etc., can be played there. Faculty: I will talk about my department. The Mathematics Department of Ram Lal Anand College has eight permanent assistant professors, each possessing great knowledge of mathematics. If a student is interested in learning, they are ready to help at any time. I took Statistics as a GE (Generic Elective) for four semesters, so I can also review the faculties of the Statistics Department. They are very good, and learning from them was a great experience. I would say RLA has the best faculty in the Mathematics and Statistics departments. Hostel: There is no hostel in Ram Lal Anand College. Among the neighboring colleges, the only hostel is in Venky (Venkateswara College). Students can take a PG or rent a flat in Satya Niketan or Basant Gaon, which are the nearest places where students usually live.
