I was a student of this college of geography department, that was a beautiful journey with best persons and teachers with lots of memories 💖
Dr. Ajoy Kumar Mukherjee
College started in this campus in 1954 after holding classes in the Debiprasad High School for one year. It was originally initiated as a Girl's college but shortly shifted to a co-education unit. Then it was a rented building. After a long fight and negotiation with the Defence authority of India, the campus was rebuilt after getting official transfer of land by the Defence Estate authority to college authority on 30 December 2004. Previously it was the campus for Arts and Commerce Faculty. Presently it is used for the same but the infrastructure became huge. A large number of students are enjoying their golden time through academics, sports and game and also an eco friendly environment. The play ground and beautiful garden in the bank of the river ganga is the special attractions of the campus.
