Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering & Technology (ASIET), located in Kalady, Kerala, was established on August 31, 2001. It is a private, self-financing institution managed by the Adi Sankara Trust under the guidance of Sringeri Mutt. The institute is affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) and approved by the AICTE. ASIET has earned recognition for its academic quality through ISO certifications and a prestigious 'A' grade from NAAC.The college offers a wide range of undergraduate (B.Tech), postgraduate (M.Tech), and doctoral programs across engineering disciplines. Key branches such as Civil, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, and Mechanical Engineering are accredited by the NBA. Newer B.Tech programs include Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Electronics & Biomedical, and Robotics & Automation.ASIET is known for its strong innovation ecosystem. It houses a Fab Lab, an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC), and a Technology Business Incubator under the Kerala Startup Mission. The institute has been consistently recognized as one of the best IEDC campuses in Kerala. Review from a 2024 Graduate: An Honest Look at the CollegeIf you're considering joining this college, please take a moment to read this. As a graduate from the 2024 batch, I want to share my honest experience.Unfortunately, there's nothing particularly special about this college. The infrastructure is outdated, the campus is small, and the facilities are far from adequate. While most teachers are friendly, many lack effective teaching skills, which affects the overall learning experience. When I joined, I was promised that 90% of students get placed in core companies. However, the reality is quite different—less than 20% of students secured campus placements. Many who did get placed found opportunities through their own efforts, applying off-campus. The college does little to assist with placements, yet claims off-campus placements as their own to inflate statistics and attract new students. The only noteworthy events on campus are Brahma and Ashwamedha. However, even for these events, the college charges extra fees—₹1800 and ₹400 respectively. The rest of the events and programs feel like a waste of time. The canteen offers only vegetarian food, which is a plus, but the quality is lacking. Many students, including myself and even some teachers, prefer to eat at the shop opposite the college. The hostel food is also subpar, and there have been instances where worms were found in both the men's and women's hostels. The only thing that made my time here enjoyable was the friends I made. I strongly recommend making good friends, as they are essential to surviving in this college. Also, consider joining clubs like NSS, IEDC, or IEEE to make your college life more engaging. Becoming a coordinator in these clubs can be beneficial.Regarding sports, if you have talent, join the team as early as your first year. Otherwise, the sports facilities won't be of much use to you. Note that the college doesn't have its own playground; the ground is shared between Sree Shankara and Adi Shankara campuses. Finally, the college bus service is not worth the money. You're better off using public transportation.

Institute offers engineering, management and masters programs.have charm and good atmosphere.college offers bus facilities for many routes and have also good spots facility.yearly a great event called 'Brahma ' happens here it's a cultural and technical event .most of the behaviour and attitude of staff to students are not at all good . especially higher official staff of department heads .only very little placement options are provided with less salary package. Teachers and allied staff are expertise in their field of area and have good knowledge but their convey knowledge to students is not at all efficiently.at the right to the enternece canteen is located and here only vegitarian food served and the campus is only prompt vegetarian option and on hostels also get these vegetarian food. But college have a good infrastructure of lab and other facilities and also provide hostel for boys and girls .boys hostel is just inside of campus and girls hostel at walkable distance.a dedicated area for parking for students and staff separately.campus have lot of trees and have a charm atmosphere.

ASIET, Kalady is a great place to learn and grow. The campus has a peaceful environment, good infrastructure, and supportive faculty. There are plenty of opportunities for both academics and extracurriculars. A solid choice for engineering education

I studied there for 4 years and all I could say is stay away from this college. This college has literally the worst faculties ever. Some teachers are just plain rude and doesn't help the student in any possible manner. The college itself is old and doesn't have any modern facilities. Coming to college life, don't expect anything from here. Apart from an annual cultural fest called 'Brahma' they have nothing else to offer. Most of the other College have lots of programmes but this college doesn't have any. This college also doesn't encourage any sports activities, they have a big ground but we've never played there. Coming to the teaching side, it's just average and their fees are higher too. College life should have memories but if you study here forget about it. Better opt for other Colleges.
