- OJEE stands for Odisha Joint Entrance Examination. It is a state-level entrance test conducted for admission to B.Tech, B.Pharm, MBA, MCA, M.Tech, M.Pharm, Lateral Entry, Integrated MBA, and other professional courses in Odisha.
- OJEE is conducted by the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Committee under the Skill Development and Technical Education Department, Government of Odisha.
- No. Both Odisha domicile and non-Odisha candidates can appear. However, non-domicile candidates are eligible only for certain seats (usually 15–25% in private colleges) and cannot claim state quota or government college seats.
- Yes. For B.Tech admissions, 70% seats are filled through JEE Main rank and only 30% through OJEE rank (mostly in private colleges). Candidates with valid JEE Main 2026 score need not appear for OJEE B.Tech paper.
- Registration usually starts in the last week of January 2026 and continues till the third week of March 2026. Exact dates will be notified on ojee.nic.in.
- For one course: ₹1,000 (General), ₹800 (SC/ST/PwD). For two or more courses: ₹1,500 + ₹500 per additional course (₹1,200 + ₹400 for reserved categories).
- Yes, +4 marks for correct answer and –1 mark for every incorrect answer. Unattempted questions carry zero marks.
- There is no limit on the number of attempts. You can appear every year until you secure the desired rank and branch.
- Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics with a minimum 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST).
- Yes. You can apply for multiple courses by paying an additional fee per course. Separate rank cards are issued for each.
- No electronic devices, including calculators, mobile phones, or smart watches, are allowed inside the examination hall.
- Admit cards are usually released 7–10 days before the exam, i.e., the last week of April 2026.
- Rank is prepared based on marks obtained in the entrance test. In case of a tie, higher marks in Mathematics (for technical courses) or seniority in age are considered.
- Counselling registration generally starts in the third week of June 2026, after the result declaration.
- Yes, mandatory for claiming state quota seats in government and private colleges. Non-domicile candidates can participate only in open/all-India seats.
- ₹25,000 for General/OBC and ₹20,000 for SC/ST candidates. This is adjusted later in the college fee.
- No. Only candidates who registered for counselling and remained unallotted or opted for upgradation can participate in the spot round.
- No. All seats (including private colleges) are filled through centralised OJEE counselling only. There is no management quota.
- CET Bhubaneswar, IGIT Sarang, PMEC Berhampur, GCE Kalahandi, GCE Keonjhar, and Government College of Engineering Bhawanipatna are the major government engineering colleges.
- For Computer Science in top private colleges like ITER SOA, Silicon, or CV Raman: General rank under 5,000 is considered safe (under 2,000 for merit seats).
- OJEE is conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode since 2020.
- No changes are allowed after final submission. Choose your three preferred cities carefully during registration.
- OJEE 2026 score is valid only for admission in the academic session 2026–27. It cannot be carried forward.
