The Bengal Music College was established in the year of 1940. They have courses in both Graduate and Master's level. Though it's an old and esteemed music institution, nowadays it's popularity a bit less.

As a student of this collage I loved it. The teacher's are kind it is well maintained. They teach many subjects and is not so expensive.

The earliest generation of music can be traced back to Sanskrit chants and poetry but over time, Charya songs, geeta-govinda and srikrishna kirtan became the three pillars of the edifice of early bengali music, giving birth to numerous genres.

One of the oldest music institution in Kolata, that nurtures young talents very carefully. Provides dance ( kathak , bharatnatyam) , vocal ( classical, folk, rabindra sangeet) , theatre, music (tabla) classes at a very reasonable fees.Located right opposite to AMRI hospital, dhakuria and is near to Dakshinapan shopping classes.

A place where each music lover must visit.Teachers here are very cooperative. Classical music is given much attention here. Just the medium of instruction is Bengali which makes a non bengali less communicative but still the faculty won't make you feel low. They'll do their best to fit you in that environment.

The Bengal Music College was established in the year 1940 by the selfless service of the founder Principal Late Nanigopal Bandyopadhyay and valuable services of Late Manindra Chandra Chakraborty and Late Kshitish Chandra Bandyopadhyay.In the year 1956 Bengal Music College was affiliated to the University of Calcutta under the initiation of the founder Principal Late N.G. Bandyopadhyay. B. Mus. (Pass) and music as Elective subject of B.A. / B.Sc. Degree course have been continuing for the last five decades.This College has distinguished itself as a pioneer in the field of music education in West Bengal. The record of its development now spans over a few decades during which a potent concept had considerable impact on the educational & cultural life of West Bengal and the college showed a spectacular progress in the field of teaching music overcoming all the advertise and problems.The faculty council for Under Graduate studies in fine Arts, Music and Home Science of the University of Calcutta accorded permission to introduce 3 year Honours Degree course in this College from the academic session 1995-96.The Faculty Council for Post Graduate Studies in Fine Arts, Music and Home Science of the University of Calcutta accorded permission to introduce Master of Music Course in this College from the academic session 2003-2004.The authority of the University permitted this College to start Research Work in Music from the academic session 2009-2010.

Really an excellent place to spoil ur career and time. And a best place to blow ur money. Its a place where u ll get to learn politics rather than music.
