My journey as a journalism student at SSA Government First Grade College, Ballari, has been a transformative and enriching experience. Over the past three years, I have grown both personally and gaining valuable knowledge, practical skills, and unforgettable memories. From the very beginning, the Department of Journalism provided a strong foundation in media theory, reporting techniques, communication ethics, and digital journalism. The faculty members were supportive, approachable, and passionate about teaching. Their guidance helped me develop a critical perspective and confidence to express myself clearly and effectively.Apart from academics, SSA GFGC Ballari gave me a platform to showcase my talents in extracurricular activities like debates, cultural events, and creative writing competitions. These experiences helped me build teamwork, leadership skills, and self-discipline.The library resources, although limited, were useful for our projects and assignments. The college could improve in providing more hands-on media lab facilities and updated technology for journalism students.Overall, my three years at SSA GFGC Ballari have been meaningful and memorable. I am thankful for the friends I made, the lessons I learned, and the experiences that shaped my future. I feel proud to be an alumnus of this institution and hopeful for the journey ahead in the field of journalism.
