Father Muller School of NursingFather Muller School of Nursing is a unit of Father Muller Charitable Institutions a Registered Society sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Mangalore is a Religious Minority Educational institution established primarily for the benefit of the members of the Christian community.It is open like all other Educational Institutions under Catholic auspices, to all persons irrespective of religion, caste or community and is affiliated to Karnataka State Diploma Nursing Examination Board, Bangalore and Recognized by Indian Nursing Council (INC).It is located within the Father Muller Hospital Campus at Kankanady, Mangalore, Karnataka.The School of Nursing was founded in 1959. In 1987 the College of Nursing came into existence with the Four Year B.Sc. Nursing Degree Course. The Post Certificate B.Sc. Nursing Degree Course of two years’ duration for upgrading those with Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery was started in 1988.Post – Graduate degree programme in nursing, under 5 specialties was started in 1992.The worth of nursing is well received in this institution and hence a blend of knowledge about the core of nursing is delivered here keeping the moral values and ethics in mind.The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited Father Muller College of Nursing with 'A' grade, making it the first Nursing College under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru, to be accredited. The college stands tall in fulfilling its vision, mission and core values.There is a provision for Safe and secure In-house hostel facilities with mess services. Keeping in mind, “Cleanliness is Godliness”, hygiene is given prime importance. Hostels are equipped with safe drinking water, CCTV Camera and security personnel for safety. In addition recreational facilities are also made available. Good college academically. Good clinical experience and community experience. Good hostel and mess facilities. Even excellent personal facilities like room for day-scholars are given.Many cultural events, day celebrations are carried out throughout the year.A bit strict with respect to syllabus completion. All aspects are covered in the 4 years of Bsc. Nursing even the subsidiary subjects are dealt completely.
