Thunag's claim to fame is because of Kaka Kameshwar temple located five km away. From the main road, an uphill branch road takes you to the temple. The silver idol has been replaced with a golden one this year (2024) at a cost of Rs Four crores, the sum donated by devotees over several years.

This college is very big and is built on the banks of the river, due to which it is very cold here.It is taught here very well, the teachers here behave in a friendly manner with the children. Here children come from far and wide to study in the mountains. Children here participate a lot in cultural activities.The people here are very happy due to the hill culture.Three streams are taught in this college Arts commerce or science
