Rather calm for a place inside a city. There was this huge parking lot which was strangely open for relaxing for everyone although parking inside the lot was not for all, all in all it was quite a pleasant place, minor entertainment could be enjoyed, plethora of sportsmen playing in the peaceful field below.

My alma mater. I studied three academic years of BCA here. Though the campus and the facilities aren't up to the mark, its staff, teaching and non-teaching are friendly, straight forward in their views and laid emphasis on the student's career. I heard there is a plan to construct a better new campus at Durtlang. I don't know whether the plan is still in effect.

The only residential science college in Mizoram. Apart from the pure science course they also taught Bachelor of Computer Application Course. Their campus is passing through public road and not looking like proper campus.

Govt. Zirtiri Residential Science College is the only institution that offers purely science education in the State of Mizoram. It is graded B by NAAC and has students 608 currently studying in the college. Government Zirtiri Residential Science College was born out of the rising demand for a purely Science College which the State of Mizoram had so far been bereft of. The ever increasing thirst for scientific knowledge coupled with the pressure put on the Government by the Science Teachers’ Association of Mizoram and Mizoram College Teachers’ Association has led to the conversion of the erstwhile Government Zirtiri Women’s College into Govt. Zirtiri Residential Science College. Realising the needs and aspirations of the people and inspired by the vision of achieving scientific and technological proficiency, the College began functioning in the year 2000. The existing Home Science Department of Zirtiri Women’s College was amalgamated with the Science faculties from other Government Colleges of the State. It became a co-educational institute and has occupied the status of being the only Science College in Mizoram and the only College in the State to offer the study of Home Science. The College has been accredited with a B Grade (CGPA 2.22) by NAAC in the first accreditation cycle in 2009.Zirtiri Residential Science College was started by Pi Lalziki in 1980. It was initially recognized by UGC under Section 2(f) & Section 12 B in 1998. It initially functioned as a Women’s College till 1985, it was further upgraded to a Co-ed Science College in 2000. It is currently affiliated to Mizoram University.Departments:Department of EnglishDepartment of PhysicsDepartment of ChemistryDepartment of MathematicsDepartment of BotanyDepartment of ZoologyDepartment of Bio-ChemistryDepartment of ElectronicsDepartment of Home ScienceDepartment of Computer SciencesDepartment of Geology
