I had to take one of my extended family members to the campus as she applied for a three-month internship at the Department of Chemistry and got selected by Professor Sarkar. It took us over an hour to reach the campus from Radisson Square.The road and route were largely fine and finally we reached the campus. The security was adequate with CISS Agency managing the security with CCTV surveillance. After producing the documents and identity proof, we headed to Homi Jahangir Bhabha Hostel which is one of many residential establishments.The campus was colossal, immaculately clean and well-organized with proper signages in place. As it is the second generation IIT, the establishment is relatively new, contemporary and smart in several respects.The hostel was huge, well-ventilated, well-equipped with an elevator installed. It appeared clean and safe with a female security guard manning the entrance. There is a dedicated Girls' Unit on the Ground Floor and the remaining hostel is for boys.We went to the Hostel Office in room 115 and Shri Santosh, the in-charge helped us immensely to complete the hostel formalities in the least possible time. The room charges were ₹3360/month for a double occupancy room and ₹125/day as Mess charges.While going out, I could spot a crowded canteen, sports complex and academic blocks of selected Departments. I am confident that the Institution is and will produce value-driven engineers and researchers who act responsibly, sensibly and with sensitivity towards the nation and the planet on the whole.Jai Hind!

Very neat and tidy campus. The faculty is too good.

In keeping with India's vision to become a world leader in Science and Technology and to usher in a new revolution, resulting in an unprecedented economic growth, Government of India reassessed the need of technical manpower and decided to set up eight new IITs. Six of them started functioning back from the academic year 2008-09. These were established at Hyderabad, Gandhinagar, Rajasthan, Ropar, Patna and Bhubaneswar. IIT Indore and IIT Mandi started functioning from July 2009.Indian Institute of Technology Indore located in Madhya Pradesh, known as IIT Indore or IITI, is an institute of national importance established by the Government of India in 2009. It is one of the eight new IITs, started by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The institution started functioning from 2009-10 in a temporary campus at Institute of Engineering and Technology of Devi Ahilya University under mentorship of IIT Bombay. Shri Arjun Singh, the Union HRD minister, laid the foundation of the permanent campus, spread over an area of around 501.42-acre (2.1 km2), on 17th February 2009 at Simrol, a location on Khandwa Road about 25 km from the city of Indore.Since , February 2016, IIT Indore has started functioning from its permanent campus. All the Administrative Offices, Material Management Section, Finance and Account Section, The School of Basic Sciences, The School of Humanities and Social Sciences, The School of Engineering, Basic Science Labs and Engineering Labs are all established in this campus. The Central Library is also situated in this campus.

Our college gave opportunity for technical lab visit to IITI and the experience was too great.Astounding infrastructure(so creatively designed),Pleasing and relaxing atmosphere,Green Campus,Good and quiet study environment,Advanced and automated labs,Focus and mission is mainly research oriented,In my school time,i had only heard about the equipments but here,i saw them work for the first time..it was really a dream come true... there're so many advanced equipments in Sophisticated Instrumentation CentreHostels are quite good and advanced,Mess is also in great condition and they provide mostly healthy foodThe learning resource centre LRC is so good,IITI has three to four cafe and also there's a shopping complex for students . there's a residence hall too..

Brilliant infrastructure and next level security.One of the recent iit(s) .Literally whole place is newly built with new equipments, spacious and mega vast campus .Its difficult to explore whole campus on foot

IIT Indore is a second generation IIT came in operation in 2009 under mentorship of IIT Bombay, initially started functioning at IET Indore campus. Ever since the permanent campus of allotted, It has developed the greatest infrastructure and a beautiful campus in a few years at Simrol.!Being an IIT, The institution’s foundation is focused towards Technology and Innovation still it has a long way to go on research and innovation. The current director Prof. Suhas Joshi possess a great experience from IITB and University of Illinois and he is focused to develop the great skills and innovation and shaping up the future of Institute.Visiting IIT Indore always give a great feeling, Hopefully someday the institution will be among top second generation IIT’s.

Lot of construction work is still going on it is being constructed in very large landscape various advanced machines are present, quality education, experienced faculty member, advanced infrastructure, cashless campus, having a very bright future ahead
