It is a one of the best engineering college in Dakshina Kannada district. They have best teaching staffs. They are providing facilities for students such as wifi, smart classroom, have good laboratories etc. But the placement opportunities are not good. They are mostly bringing training and placement company. They have excellent library, good hostel facilities.

In recent years, I've seen significant improvements in the college and VTU. It has transformed into a game-changer, with:- 100% placements, attracting top tech companies like Apple, Meta, Amazon(30 LPA), Netflix, Adobe systems(29.3 LPA), Microsoft, Uber (85 LPA) and Google (44.3 LPA)Around 50 students will be placed in Public Sector Units like DRDO, ISRO, and petroleum corporations.- Excellent faculty and an industry-oriented curriculum- State-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities- Strong industry connections and support- Unmatched career opportunitiesWhile my experience was average, I'm thrilled to see the college's growth and commitment to student success. The changes have made KVGCE a wise investment for future students. I'm glad to see the college evolving into a launching pad for successful careers!I attended this college from 2010-2014, my sister during 2013-2017, and my brother during 2018-2022 (CBSE), and we all had a disappointing experience. The junior assistant lecturers lacked knowledge and failed to deliver effective teaching. The lectures were uninspiring, and the pressure was overwhelming. The outdated 2010 non-CBSE scheme and year-back system made it difficult to cope. The exam system was flawed, with a low passing score of 35/100. Clearing exams and backlogs was a nightmare. The syllabus, being part of VTU, was outdated and irrelevant to the industry. Exams were poorly managed, with low scores and no proper revaluation. The focus was on money and fines, rather than student growth. The campus life was dull, with no fun events or sports. The library was outdated, with old books. The placement scene was also disappointing, with only software training institutes and call center/BPO companies visiting the campus. However, I hope things have changed for the better since my time.

I am from the mechanical batch of 2002. Coming from a city life, even though initially I felt out of place. After some time I felt it was the right place for me to avoid the typical distractions of a city. The college professors are good and support you very well. At the end, if you want to focus on your studies this is great place to do exactly that.

I highly recommend this college for one who don't want any distractions due to city lifestyle. Placement department is doing a great job recently. Most of the teaching staffs are PhD holders in different domains. Co-curricular activities are conducted. Campus area is large and filled with greenery.

College is average. After 30 years of teaching, they could have been over of the top college. But they aren't. Placements aren't very good. 1 - 2 students get the placement. Rest are placed by fake companies which you have never heard about. Don't believe in the placements board unless they mention company names in it. Most reviews here are written by management themselves. Many lecturers can't speak English fluently.
