A good college of the Punjab Government. A very large campus area includes boys and girls hostel facilities with good and strict discipline maintained.

Let me very honest with you. I was student of SLIET , longowal. 2nd batch of Degree 4 year B.E course.Let me elaborate .Bright side -Note -First of all This college has zero tolerance towards Ragging .I can proudly say (with full responsibility) that this college is free of Ragging .1. Best college for Diploma courses ( engineering) in India , no doubt about it.I think it's biggest too.( 400 acres ) not a joke2. Cleanliness level is amazing . Greenery adds to its beauty.3. Accommodation for both boys and girls10 boys hostel and 3 girls hostel (seperate) .Single room for final year students (big enough with balcony ).Single room for some meritorious prefinal year students also .Both applicable for B.E and M.tech students.Seperate accommodation facilities for PhD students.Each hostel has a Mess, TV room, common room,Table tennis room.4. More than 50 clubs for extra curricular activities and personal development.NCC ( Best) NSS ( below average)5 . Hospital (good) , ambulance, student activity centre ( below average), Gym (moderate),Swimming pool (good), Sports ground , seperate cricket stadium, lawn tennis ,volleyball court, basketball , squash.6. Now a days placement is getting better.B.E students gets placed ( not all )25-30 companies visit over the span of a year .Mostly local but some good one are1 . Hindustan Unilever2 .Godrej3. Jspl4.Infosys5. Capegemini6.Bikano7.Wellspun8. Nestle (Punjab plant)EtcDARK SIDE -1 . Honestly speaking right now it is average type institution for B.tech ( don't know about future)2 . There is communication gap between students and administration . Both of them don't trust each other.3. Average package is below 3 lakh per annum.Even for internship college don't help.Alumni base is good enough but are not able to provide even internship.However Some Alumni are trying to do their best , because what ever placement is going on their contribution is upto 50-60% .Present Head of placement is working very hard and it is due to him this department has revived.4. Placement percentage is around 50-60 %5. Location of this college is very bad , sometimes companies deny to visit just because of its remote location. 20 km from Sangrur city.Finally1 . It is better to pursue B.E from Sliet than any state technical Colleges.2 . In future it is going to rise upto the level of NIT3. If you want to get placed , you will be placed in any company but salary may not be upto the mark. Maintain your Cgpa atleast 7.54. It is even better than NIT , Manipur ,Srinagar , Nagaland etc new NITs

Very beautiful technical university, not only by nature of the place but by study too. Well qualified professors and facilities in this university and well stablished labs with modern equipments are available

Great big and green campus.One of the best alternative after 10th.Only thing that there is no proper in and out entry system for hostelers. They note it in a diary.It would be better to get a biometric attendance/entry system to note in and out of the students.

Very Bad Hostel Facilities and after one or two mistakes faculty or care taker or warden starts targetting you.At the start of first year Diploma they will give you the best hostel and after the completion of first year they will allot you the worst hostel facility

One of the best college.People here are so friendly.Situated about 17 km from Sangrur railway station.Bus service is available in campus only at minimum price just 25 rupees to travel to Sangrur railway station.Nearest market is longowal market about 1 km.
