Courses Offered at State Council of Educational Research and Training, Mizoram: UG, PG & PhD Programs- Aizawl

State Council of Educational Research and Training offers over two courses at UG and PG levels in the streams of Education and Teacher Training. The Diploma in Elementary Education is the flagship course of State Council of Educational Research and Training, offered based on SCERT Common Entrance Test for PSTE scores. Besides, SCERT Aizawl also offers additional programs like the Bachelor of Education in Special Education, which includes specializations in Hearing Impairment and Visual Impairment. • Entrance Exams: Admission for the Diploma in Elementary Education requires the SCERT Common Entrance Test for PSTE.

PG Programs

• Eligibility: A recognized undergraduate degree. For the Bachelor of Education in Special Education, this means a Graduation with at least 50% marks or equivalent (Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanities) or a Master's Degree. Engineering/Technology graduates (Science & Math specialization) need 55% marks. Relaxation up to 5% in qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC/PwD categories is applicable.
• Minimum Academic Requirement: A minimum 50% marks in the undergraduate degree, subject to specific program requirements.
• Documents: Academic transcripts, a statement of purpose, and letters of recommendation may be requested for SCERT's postgraduate programs.
