Very big campus located in heart of the Davanagere city. Well qualified lectures helps students to understand the concepts while making them score good marks in their academic exam. Very old college yet looks beautiful. If anyone looking to join polytechnic in any branch, it is worth considering this college.

It's a good college which is directly under VTU and faculty are having great teaching experience. Classes are conducted promptly.*The campus is green and not a posh one compared to other campuses.*Canteen is not good in pov.* Currently classes are in old building except computer science and EIE dept.* New auditorium and buildings with classroom are under construction* If academics is only the main concern then this is the place for you with less amount of fees.

Good college with good faculty, Infrastructure of the college is very good. I did my graduation here in civil engineering. Later I did post graduation from one of reputed NIT.. in case of quality of education BDT Is for better than NIT.

This is the place where I spent most memorable days of my college years. Those days the campus had fewer buildings and more open space with lot of green cover. We probably had the best garden maintained ib the main quadrangle facing the entrance and library. We had playgrounds for hockey, football, basketball, tennis, kokho, and a firing range for NCC shooting practice. The NCC facility had the obstacle course and a dedicated building. We had fewer courses with less students. But what we had was the best.Today engineers from BDT are contributing in the fields of art, literature, administration, diffence, politics, busines, education apart from their chosen field of technology.Today most of the campus is filled with buildings designed with least regard for heritage, aesthetics and convenience. Looks like someone is in a hurry to gobble up the vacant space and utilise the budget!!!!!!Wish wise people were in control of decision making process. With all the problems and imperfections, this is an edifice which is still contributing to nation building and also a place close to my heart.Visited college to attend General body meeting of alumni association, which was dormant for a while. Not much change in campus. No development work in progress. Now there are more girl students in the campus than boys and hence the campus is quiet.
