AMU Centre Murshidabad, nestled by the Ganges, offers an unforgettable college experience. The hostels create a tight-knit community where friendships flourish. Evening strolls by the serene river and ferry rides become cherished routines. The academic environment is conducive to learning, fostering a strong teacher-student relationship. Evenings are the highlight with cultural events and engaging discussions. My time here is a mix of emotions, but it's a treasure trove of memories. This campus truly embodies the essence of a well-rounded college life.

AMU Murshidabad Centre is one of the prominent educational institution of Aligarh Muslim University in East India in the state of West Bengal in Murshidabad district near about 60 km from Berhampur in Jangipur Subdivision...its spread over in two campus approx 300 acre land both side of Ganga/Hooghly river. It was established in 2010 by the ministry of Human resource and Development, central government of India. The Centre started MBA and BALLB courses in 2011 and added B. Ed. in 2013 to its portfolio of courses. The student intake in MBA and BALLB is 60 each while in B. Ed. 50 seats are offered under various subjects. At present, the AMU Murshidabad Centre represents students from 18 states of India. On the human resource front, the Centre is having well-qualified teachers. The Centre is equipped with computer lab, campus-wide wi-fi facility, seminar library, and sports playground.Raking up the issue of “pathetic” condition of the campus of Aligarh Muslim University set up in four states, Trinamool Congress (TMC) Ahamed Hassan Imran informed the house that the Murshidabad campus in West Bengal neither has a building nor a hostel and 500 students are studying in four departments in temporary sheds. He asked the Human Resource Development ministry what the government actually wants. What are its plans regarding the Murshidabad and other centres? Is the purpose behind its negligence is to close them? He questioned.Ahamed Husain informed that on the request of the central government, the Bengal government had provided 1000 acre land for Murshidabad campus. It was inaugurated by ex-President Pranab Mukherjee in 2014. Ahmed Hasan said the campus lies in negligence since 2014. He said no budget was released for the Murshidabad campus for the past two years, as a result, teaching and non-teaching staff was deprived of their salaries.
