Regional Agricultural Research Station, Kumarakom, originally established in 1947 as per recommendations of Indian Central Coconut Committee (ICCC) to study the coconut cultivation practices in reclaimed lands, was taken over by Government of Kerala in 1957. In 1972 it was transferred to KAU, Research activities of this station centres around crop management and crop protection aspects of coconut and coconut based cropping systems, RARS, Kumarakom has made many a significant contributions in integrate farming systems research involving agricultural crops, fish and livestock. It serves as a nerve centre for redressing location specific research issues in the Special Zone comprising of Kari, Kayl, Karappadam, Pokkali and the upper Kuttanad areas.

I brought two times, one girl in sales supportive, but one man incounter seems selling to his favorite ppl. Good price and items compared to other KAU. But growbag soil is of poor quality but it grows well and i wonder how. they should have located KAU in Pala for good quality soil.
