First called Mission School and then Christ Church School, it grew into a college affiliated first to the Calcutta University in 1866, then to the Allahabad University in 1892, later to the Agra University in 1927 and ultimately to the Kanpur University (now the C.S.J.M. University) in 1966. It is now a minority co-ed college of the C.N.I. Agra Diocese, managed by the Christ Church College Society. Its Governing Body comprises eminent members under the Chairmanship of the C.N.I. Bishop of Agra.
