Spent 5 years of my life in the campus so here's my short review of the place. The college is ranked top in the state in terms of quality education(among other parameters) which gets reflected every year when the college grabs the lion's share of university degree rank holders.Geographically, the campus sits between two valleys at the edge of a hill range overseeing the Asian highway (NH2) which snakes past the campus on the east side. Though I don't have the factual data, but DBC is the highest college of the state in terms of altitude (my guess). The campus comprises of the 4 storey main building (painted in dark green perhaps to not disturb the natural demography of lush greenery around). Then comes the two higher secondary wings for class 11 and 12.There is the HRD building which houses the general purpose computer lab for various extra curriculum IT diploma courses. The top floor is the mini auditorium for multi-purpose.Example : One moment we are having a combined Bible class , the next moment it becomes a single screen theatre. In 2017, the Multi purpose hall was inaugurated with much fun fare with the CM of the state gracing the event as the chief guest. Two canteens (my favorite hangout place in the campus) are strategically placed in the campus to lighten up students' pockets.(last reported on 14/2/2018).The library is at the top floor of the main building and contains a good number of books in different genre. Though it lacked quality books in my days, I hope the recent announcement of another library to be set up will surely be a boon for the bookworms. The weather remains cool throughout the year with an average of 24-28° in the summers and drops to 5°-9° in the winters which is too cold for my comfort.Campus life was lit.

Don Bosco: A Hilltop Haven that Nurtured MeGazing back at my years at Don Bosco Autonomous College, Maram, Manipur, a wave of nostalgia washes over me. It wasn't just a place of academics; it was a crucible that molded me into the person I am today.Academically, Don Bosco delivered. The dedicated faculty, passionate about their subjects, ignited a thirst for knowledge within me. The small class sizes fostered personalized attention, and the rigorous curriculum challenged me to push my intellectual boundaries. Sure, there were moments of late-night study sessions fueled by instant noodles, but the satisfaction of cracking a tough concept made it all worthwhile. But Don Bosco was more than just textbooks and lectures. The vibrant campus, nestled amidst the verdant hills, was a haven for diverse experiences. From impromptu cricket matches under the setting sun to spirited debates in the canteen, every day was an adventure. The college clubs and societies offered a stage to explore my passions, from theater to trekking, and forged lifelong friendships along the way.Don Bosco's commitment to holistic development wasn't just lip service. The college encouraged us to step outside the classroom and engage with the local community. Volunteering at nearby villages and participating in social awareness campaigns instilled in me a sense of social responsibility that continues to guide me.Of course, no place is perfect. The occasional power cuts, the limited Wi-Fi access, and the occasional bout of homesickness were inevitable challenges. But these moments also taught me resilience and resourcefulness, skills that have proven invaluable in the real world.Looking back, graduating from Don Bosco wasn't just about receiving a degree; it was about stepping into the world as a confident, well-rounded individual. The college nurtured my academic pursuits, ignited my passions, and instilled in me a deep sense of community and social responsibility. So, to anyone considering Don Bosco, I say this: embrace the challenges, soak in the experiences, and let the spirit of this hilltop haven guide you. It's an experience you won't forget.P.S.Don't miss the sunrise from the college grounds! It's a sight that will stay with you forever.
