Donyi Polo B.Ed College, located at Itanagar, is the first teacher teaching institute at Itanagar, the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh. This College was established with the view to impart training not only to future teachers but as well as the untrained practicing teachers. This college was established by the Society for Women Welfare Awareness and Training (SWWAT) with the vision of uplifting the quality of educational scenario in the state which has a huge ratio of untrained teachers. This Society was registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 on 19-01-1999.
