Good place for academics mainly for undergraduate programmes, for PG improvements are necessary , there's dearth of proper resources, labs and staff.It has Huge campus, big library and a canteen which is pretty decent.

I think this is the best college because I am doing my honours currently from here. And I have experienced its environment. There are all facilities which are required for a student. Best thing of this college is Library where you can read anything without any disturbance. My teachers are all cooperative. All of my teachers motivate us to do something big in our future. 💝

The infrastructure of this collage is quite impressive and the overall experience is very good . They have co-operative staff members but there are some issues that need to be focused and one of these is cleanliness. It has been found that in some areas of the campus there are garbage dumped openly.

This is my college. I love the view. This college covers a big area .A beautiful gate with adorable auditorium. Different buildings for different streams. Good staff nice teachers. Cooperative students good and helping non teaching staff. All types of facilities for all stuff.I just love to being here.

The Government Degree College, Rampur Bushahr is named after the late Govind Ballabh Pant, a freedom fighter, educationist, statesman and the fourth Home Minister of India. The college is duly affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. This college came into existence in July, 1959 and was formally inaugurated on 11th November, 1959 by Raja Bajrang Bhadur Singh of Bhadristate, the then lieutenant Governor of Himachal Pradesh.The college campus is situated on the left bank of river Satluj which is on national highway no. 5 and is 130 kms away from the historical town of the state capital city of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla. Adorned with lush green fields, tall leafy trees, sprawling play grounds, modern laboratories and comfortable separate hostels for boys and girls, the college is an ideal centre for learning and knowledge.The college is a co-educational institution and imparts Bachelor’s Degree in the faculties of Humanities, Science, Commerce, Vocational, and Computer Application. The year 1994 marked a new phase of academic development with the opening of Post Graduate classes in the subject of Hindi, English, Commerce, History, Economics, and Political Science. In the year 2017, new P.G courses in the subject of Sociology, Geography, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Physics and Mathematics were introduced in the college. The self- finance course of B.C.A was introduced in the session 2010-11, based on the feedback of the stakeholders and Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc in Retail Management and Hospitality and Tourism) was also introduced in 2017. The primary objective for the implementation of these courses is to empower the youth with practical knowledge that will lead to quality employment and income generating opportunities.The physical infrastructure facilities in the college are being developed, renovated and upgraded from time to time. The college has newly constructed Auditorium, Arts block, Library block, Commerce block and Ambedkar girl’s hostel. A new Science Block with modern amenities is under construction.The teachers of the college are experienced and qualified, fully committed to guide and support the students to achieve new academic heights. The institution provides a judicious mixture of academics, sports, co- curricular activities to the students. This helps them to develop their mental and physical prowess. The college is surrounded by the scenic beauty of hills that provides the students with ample green space to learn and interact in a lively fresh environment. The national assessment and accreditation council (NAAC) has awarded grade ‘B’ to the college in the second cycle for providing quality Higher Education to the students. We are proud of our dedicated staff and disciplined students of the institution.

It is a nice place with well educated staff but it should be renovated...Needs to have good Laboratories equipped with every single requirements needed by the curriculum and students, otherwise there's no reason of starting the MSc batches.. Also staff for masters batches should also be appointed..
