Govt First Grade College and Centre for P.G. Studies Thenkanidiyur, Udupi, established in1993, has been rendering yeoman service in educating the youth from the backward sections of thesociety for the last 29 years.The college is affiliated to Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri and isrecognized by the UGC under section 2(f) on 12th January 2005 and 12(B) on 4th December 2006 underAct, 1956. the College offers Bachelor as well as Master’s Degree Programmes viz., B.A., B.Sc., B.Com.B.B.A. BSW, and B.C.A.at Bachelors level and M.A.(Kannada), M. A (English), M. A (Economics), M. A(Sociology),M.A(History), MSW and M. Com at Masters Level. Fourteen teachers among the twenty-three staff are doctorates. Four teachers are recognized guides to guide M.Phil. and PhD students ofdifferent Universities. Student support activities are being conducted in a well-defined manner underthe auspices of NSS, Sports, and other associations. They have won prizes at the University and theState level competitions, and have represented the college at the National level camps and trainingprogrammes. The college has good teaching faculty consisting of 71 dedicated teachers out of which 23are Permanent teachers. Three teachers of our college have received state level NSS awards. One ofthem has also received Indira Gandhi NSS National Award for the remarkable achievements asUniversity NSS Co-coordinator. Almost all the P.G Departments are well furnished and workingindependently with computer and internet facility.

Kabaddi tournament was organized wonderfully. Kudos to patkar sir and team

One of the best college in Udupi , which gives great experience and exposure to the students and for me it is like a home ❤️

If you want to do BCA in this college you better prepare for partiality, only 2 lectures who belongs to BCA course are best in business and rest of them are not at all worried about students and they never do anything for the betterment of students Career and future, they just worried about completing the syllabus that's it. And for PG degree this college will be a better choice

Apart from BCA, every department is good/ok. There is no campus facility here. Some lectures don't care about students and they are not student friendly. Some Lectures do partiality among students. But murali sir, Divya madam, gowri mam, and raviraj sir are too good and their teaching style is also excellent(Belongs to Bca/bsc department)

Various Courses , Good Campus with Excellent set of Faculties for Commerce , don't know about other Courses .

The lectures are very friendly....teaching is very very good.,...I have never ever come across such a beautiful and a good college..
