The National Institute of Sowa-Rigpa has been recognized by the concerned State Government, various education boards, and importantly, the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM). Further, the institute provides this specialized programme in affiliation with the University of Ladakh. The National Institute of Sowa-Rigpa, or NISR, truly focuses on areas like traditional healing, holistic well-being, & cultural preservation through its flagship B.S.R.M.S. course. Eligibility for this 5.5-year program includes 10+2 with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) or 10+2 with Bhoti language, Buddhist philosophy and logic, along with qualifying the NCISM NEET SR UG entrance examination with minimum cut-off (50% for General, 40% for OBC/SC/ST).
