This is like a second home to me. One of the top NITs in India. It's green campus will trap you inside it like an enchantress. Every moment you spend here will create a single memory lane in your brain which you will cherish forever.

Infrastructure is very good and it is in favor of both faculty members and students as well.NIT Silchar is one of the largest campuses of NITs. So every course has its respective block, and everyone can attend lectures from the galleries. Every student can perform their experiments without any delay.They have Gymkhana Union body at college; every sport comes under it, and they provide all the sports facilities.

The rigorous academic environment pushed me to delve deep into the world of circuits, power systems, and control theory, while also encouraging independent thinking and technical precision.Beyond academics, NIT Silchar is a canvas painted with vibrant colors of culture, innovation, and nature. From the electrifying nights of Incandescence, the annual cultural fest, to the cutting-edge showcases at Technoesis, the technical fest, the campus truly celebrates the fusion of art and science. These events weren’t just entertainment or competition—they were platforms for self-expression, teamwork, and lifelong memories.Set against the lush green backdrop of the Barak Valley, the campus itself is a sanctuary. The serene lake, the monsoon-washed paths, and the quiet evenings added a unique calmness to the otherwise high-paced student life. Whether it was late-night chai at the canteen, spontaneous jam sessions, or intense project deadlines, life at NITS had its own rhythm.In all, my experience at NIT Silchar wasn't just about becoming an engineer—it was about becoming a better version of myself. NIT Silchar is one of the best institutes in North East India. The college is spread over 600 acres. There are beautiful lakes inside the campus and tea gardens. We have enjoyed here! :-)

It is one of the NITs of India located in Silchar (ASSAM).It is very beautiful and Glorious environment in the lap of nature. I can say it is free from Pollution. You can enjoy study with the beautiful natural sites.Students are admitted for the undergraduate courses through the JEE-Main conducted by National Testing Agency [NTA], NIT Silchar has been given the award of best engineering college in eastern India by ASSOCHAM in the National Education Excellence Awards 2014 and 2015.It is the best college in the north- East.
