Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College, popularly known as Rahara V.C college is one of the finest colleges of the whole India, it is a Boys' College, currently Autonomous and affiliated to the West Bengal State University. It was formerly affiliated with the Calcutta University. The calm environment and discipline of the college is very much satisfying. Huge number of advanced instruments as well as high tech well furnished research laboratory facilities are available. Also faculties are much more experienced. Hands-on workshops on different basis such as plant biotechnology, molecular biology etc and a lot of seminars on various topics are arranged frequently.

Nice college.Professors are well educated in their respective subjects and they are very very devoted to their work. They are not as other govt. and private school and college teachers who just wants a way out to get rid of their work.Administration is very strict regarding studies as well as friendly in other sectors.Apart from this:Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College in Rahara, Kolkata, is an esteemed institution known for its academic excellence and holistic education. College InfrastructureThe college has a free Wi-Fi facility near the civil departments, well-equipped laboratory, fully furnished and air-ventilated classrooms and library with thousands of books which can be borrowed and has huge space to read books. Colourful events are organised in our college.AcademicsAll the teachers are good and help the students in their academics. The teachers are well graduated with high knowledge. By the usage of projector teachers can easy explain the concepts, helping us in making mini projects in early years. The course will surely make student ready for the industry. We have digital library in our department where student can use the system for his need.

A truly respectable place of study. I was there for my son's exam. The place was peaceful and quiet. They had arranged segregated waiting areas with chairs and fans for us parents. They arranged tea and drinking water. We have visited many institutions but this was unique. Every student was gifted one cake and one Amul Lassi. One of a kind experience.

Went there recently for a Plant Biotech workshop.Loved the calm and disciplined environment of the entire college & campus. The faculties were much experienced and had good grasp on their subjects. Got to learn tons of new things from them. Also, if you come from biology background, you would find a huge no. Of advance instruments and lab facilities needed for higher studies, which are usually not available in BSC colleges, that's a major plus point.

As an ex student of this college when I'm writing this review online it already holds one of the top spots not only in West Bengal but also the whole India (NIRF Rank 8, year 2023) (All West Bengal Rank 2). Besides this one thing I can assure whoever reading this review is that if you choose to be a part of this institution and if you qualify the admission criterion you will not regret your journey one bit with this institution. On the other hand quite contrary (you will cherish this journey till you die!)

This is my college. I learnt self discipline, camaraderie, and essence of teachings of Ramakrishna and Vivekananda here. I recently visited here for the reunion to be held for the first time on the eve of Golden jubilee celebration and found that the college has changed a lot with students can pursue M.sc. and Ph. D here.

I am pursuing my Bsc Microbiology from here.It is a well known and top most college in West Bengal. Last year it has ranked 11th (NIRF ranking) in 2019 our college secured 8th rank.Autonomous college under West Bengal State University (Barasat).Accredited by NAAC with grade A.DST-FIST award college 2 times.DBT-STAR college by DBT India.Basically 7 Bsc. Courses availableThose are Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Computer Science.Msc course also available for Mathematics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany1 year Diploma course on Agricultural Biotechnology is now available.Overall environment is amazing. Each and every teachers are helpful.It is 5 minutes away from Khardaha railway station.
