Small temple at the top of a hill that’s of significance to all Hindus. It relates to the story of 51 divides of body of Sati the wife of Shiva of which the eyes were placed at this site. Revered by Hindus with a constant flow of pilgrims to the temple at the top of a very steep climb. There are steps to guide your way. To be fair the crowd was well behaved and well policed. Can be quite a wait for a fleeting glance of the icon but worth the wait.Beautiful of the surrounding topography from the top. Free food is often shared as you make you way back down. Take lots of water. Rudimentary facilities along the way. This is a steep climb with broken steps… just take care. Total respect for everything as there are many a pilgrim who come vast distances by foot to visit.

Mata Naina Devi Ji - one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, where it’s believed the eyes of Goddess Sati fell when Lord Shiva was carrying her body. That’s why the place is called “Naina” Devi — ‘Naina’ means eyes. The temple is situated on a beautiful hilltop, offering stunning views of the Gobind Sagar Lake and the surrounding mountains. Devotees from all over India visit this holy shrine, especially during Navratri, to seek the blessings of the goddess. You will get immense inner peace, positiveness, peaceful vibes and breathtaking 360 degree views around you as told that this center is situated at the top peak of the mountain.JAI MATA DI

Divine Experience at Mata Shri Naina Devi TempleVisiting the Naina Devi Temple was a truly spiritual and peaceful experience. Located atop a scenic hill, the temple offers not only divine blessings but also breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and Gobind Sagar Lake. The atmosphere is full of devotion, and you can feel the powerful energy of the Shakti Peetha. The path to the temple is well-maintained, with options for ropeway, palki, or walking, making it accessible for all age groups. The temple premises are clean and well-managed, with facilities for devotees. The positive vibes, the sound of bhajans, and the sight of devotees praying with faith made my visit unforgettable. If you’re seeking inner peace or want to connect spiritually, this is a must-visit holy place in Himachal Pradesh. Jai Mata Di!

Who has the courage to give Mata Naina Devi G rating? Definitely, it is a five star or 10 star Temple. You will see the presence of Mataji in the surrounding area. This is a very beautiful temple on a top of a triangle Mountain. just go with your family and have blessings of Mataji.
