Durgaparameshwari Temple First Grade College is a college with difference having rural background established in the year 1988. The college was started with a dream of fostering the all – round growth of rural students particularly women. The college is affiliated to Mangalore University and offers Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Commerce. The college is located in a small hamlet called Kateel, 27 kms away from Mangaluru city.The college is sponsored and managed by Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple, Kateel which is an ‘A’ – Grade Temple under the control of HR and CE department of Govt. of Karnataka. Shri Sanath Kumar Shetty Kodethuruguthuis the Chairman, Committee of management, hereditary trustee of the Temple and the correspondent of the college. Vedamoorthy Shri K. VasudhevaAsranna is another hereditary trustee ofthe Temple.

Best educational institution. I feel really lucky to be a part of this college. Quality of education in less cost. And most importantly students get the positive wibes of maa Durgaparameshwari.
