INI CET 2025 Eligibility Criteria – Age, Qualification, Attempts & Reservation

Before applying for INI CET 2025, it’s important to check the age criteria set by AIIMS, New Delhi. The examination generally does not impose a strict upper age limit for candidates. This means there is no specified minimum or maximum age requirement for appearing in the INI CET. Consequently, no cutoff date for age calculation is applicable, as age is not a restrictive factor for this examination. Since there is no upper age limit, the typical age relaxations for various categories such as SC, ST, OBC-NCL, or PwD, which are usually provided for examinations with age restrictions, are not relevant for INI CET. Knowing that there are no age rules in advance ensures aspirants can focus on meeting other academic and internship criteria.

INI CET 2025 may offer relaxations for candidates belonging to specific reserved categories as per AIIMS, New Delhi guidelines. These benefits primarily include reduced qualifying marks in the examination and concessions in application fees. For instance, while Unreserved, EWS, Foreign National, and OCI candidates generally require a 50th percentile to qualify, OBC, SC, ST, PwBD, and Bhutani National candidates need to secure a 45th percentile. In terms of application fees, General, OBC, Foreign National, and OCI applicants pay ₹4000, while SC, ST, and EWS applicants pay ₹3200. Candidates with Benchmark Disabilities are exempted from paying any examination fees. To avail these benefits, candidates must upload valid and up-to-date category certificates during the registration process. For example, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificates must be issued within a specified timeframe, typically between April 1, 2024, and April 25, 2025, for the July 2025 session, and must adhere to the Government of India format. Similarly, EWS certificates must be valid for the financial year 2024-2025 or 2025-2026 and issued within the stipulated dates. Verification of these documents will follow the official protocol set by the authority, with documents being checked at every stage of the admission process. By understanding and following the process, eligible candidates can make full use of the category-based benefits available for INI CET.

INI CET 2025 is open to Indian citizens, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) card holders as per AIIMS, New Delhi rules. For this national-level examination, general domicile requirements, which are typically applicable to state-level entrance exams, do not form a primary eligibility criterion for all seats. However, candidates should be aware that specific Institutes of National Importance might have certain institute-specific eligibility criteria, which may include domicile considerations for some seats, as detailed in Part B of their respective prospectuses. NRI and foreign applicants have distinct guidelines. Foreign Nationals must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, and submit it by the specified deadline; an NOC from the Ministry of External Affairs is not considered valid. OCI and PIO candidates are generally not required to obtain an NOC but must upload a scanned copy of their valid OCI card during the application process. Foreign nationals must also ensure they have completed their MBBS or BDS degree and the mandatory 12-month internship. Furthermore, they are required to provide a certificate of their grading system from their university to convert their academic performance into percentages, fulfilling the 55% aggregate mark criterion. It is important to note that Sponsored or Foreign National candidates are typically not eligible for general seats meant for Indian nationals under various categories. By understanding these rules early, candidates can ensure they meet the required nationality or domicile conditions before applying.

Before preparing for INI CET 2025, it’s essential to know if there’s a cap on the number of attempts. Most national-level examinations, including the INI CET, generally allow unlimited attempts. This means candidates can apply for and appear in the INI CET examination as many times as they wish, provided they meet all other eligibility criteria for each session. There is no specified maximum number of attempts allowed for the INI CET. This policy applies uniformly across all categories of candidates, meaning no specific category-based relaxations regarding the number of attempts are necessary or provided, as there are no restrictions in the first place.
