Academic Eligibility For Jipmer
Candidates applying for Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research must have:
- For MBBS, passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English. For Postgraduate courses (MD/MS), an MBBS degree from an NMC recognized institution. Specific qualifications apply for other Allied Health and Nursing courses.
- For MBBS (via NEET UG): 50% for General/EWS, 45% for PWD, 40% for SC/ST/OBC in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology in qualifying examination. For JIPMER's own exams for other courses, minimum percentage requirements vary by program, typically 50% or equivalent in the qualifying degree.
- Required subjects: Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology) for undergraduate medical and related courses. For postgraduate courses, an MBBS degree is mandatory.
