Academic Eligibility For Tnea
Candidates applying for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission must have:
Passed 10+2 (HSC) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Bio-Mathematics or Vocational subjects. Candidates who have passed any one of the 10+2 equivalent examinations approved by the Tamil Nadu Government are eligible.
For General Category: A minimum of 45% aggregate in the prescribed subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology/Vocational subjects). For Backward Class (BC), Backward Class Muslim (BCM), Most Backward Class (MBC) & Denotified Communities (DNC), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Caste Arunthathiyars (SCA), and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories: A minimum of 40% aggregate in the prescribed subjects.
Required subjects: Academic Stream: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Bio-Mathematics. Vocational Stream: Related Vocational subjects (Theory & Practical), Physics, and Chemistry. For specific programs like B.Arch, different subject combinations and NATA scores are required.
