University is situated in a valley surrounded with great mountain which provides it with amazing scenic beauty. It is known for its apple, peach, kiwi, walnut, persimmon production. It trains students as well as farmers for the right way of orcharding and has great academic excellence.

Recently visited this university very beautiful campus and very huge alsoStudents here join by giving entrance exam every year.Very good hostel facility for girls and boysFor Practical work very big fields and farms are arrangedGood place for studying in horticulture and forestry

Best university for the agriculture students of aHimachal Pradesh and well as students all over india and world , I met students from afganistan and Africa in this university.Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry (DYSPUHF) is a prestigious state university located in Nauni, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, India. Established in 1985, the university is named after Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar, a renowned Indian politician and horticulturist.

Cradle of horticulture right on the lap of mother nature and it's rich Himalayan mountains. This building is the auditorium, a massive structure, beautifully crafted like an opera house that could easily house more than 700 persons. It is equipped with air-conditioning, lights fans, spot lights, focus lights, modern stage lightings, reclining seats, surround sound system and adequate fire and safety systems This is where almost all the programs of YSP are held and it will surely leave an impression on the guests who attend them.

Pathetic site. always site can't be reached. Whosoever is maintaining Dr. ys parmar site please resign from your post you are not able to maintain site traffic or other aspects of site .

Beautiful University campus situated in the mid hill zone of Himachal Pradesh ( Western Himalayas). Established in 1st December, 1985.

Awsom enviornment in lap of nature on mountains awsome people good teachers. But lets talk about it in little detail.PG and UG students will get 3 or 4 seater room until or unless they have some very good jaan pehchan to higher authority.If you have vehicle than you can prefer to stay outside in pg ask for the house of naunis pardhan ji he has highest number of rooms on rent helpful and nice person.Lots of monkey on the way from hostel to college.Food quality is good but arrangment is bad lot of food wastage.Bathroom are good yes you will get hot water unless or untill geyser went down.Libraray and its facility are not so good.Biotech department horticulture department have some really nice teachers but some sucks.Biggest concern will be of score in PG course you will not get above a band like 68 -70%.Cold place from October onwards.These are some view from my balcony.3

This is an excellent university to study horticulture and forestry. It has a very beautiful huge campus. The admission to the university is through an entrance exam held every year. Practicals are arranged in nearby farms. It has good hostel facility for girls and boys. Scientists at the university are very cooperative and will provide you a lot of information regarding agriculture. Nice place to visit.
