Age Limit And Relaxation
For the JEECUP 2025 examination, the Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh, mandates a minimum age of 14 years as of July 1, 2025, for all applicants. It is important to note that there is no specified upper age limit for candidates appearing in the JEECUP examination. This means that individuals who meet the minimum age requirement and other academic qualifications can apply, regardless of their age beyond 14 years. No specific age relaxations are formally detailed for reserved categories, as the absence of an upper age limit inherently provides flexibility for all candidates.
Jeecup Category Wise Criteria
JEECUP 2025 offers various relaxations for candidates belonging to specific reserved categories, as per the guidelines established by the Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh, following the Uttar Pradesh Government rules. These benefits may include reduced qualifying marks, as seen with expected cutoff mark variations for different categories. For instance, while general candidates might have an expected qualifying mark range, SC and ST candidates may have lower cutoffs. Vertical reservations include 27% for Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer), 21% for Scheduled Castes, 2% for Scheduled Tribes, and 10% for the Economically Weaker Section. Horizontal reservations provide benefits such as 5% for Persons with Disability, 2% for Freedom Fighter dependents, 5% for Wards of Military Personnel, and 20% for Female Candidates across all categories.
